Rules for signing up for Bolsa Família

Initially, all Auxílio Brasil beneficiaries were integrated into the new Bolsa Família payments, as the criteria remain the same. 

However, there are still cases of fraud involving false information about maximum income, the government began an active search among beneficiaries to identify and exclude families.

Therefore, it is important to pay attention to all the program rules. This way, you can register without any problems.

Therefore, if you need this financial assistance, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a monthly family income of up to R$ 218.00;
  • Children and adolescents between 4 and 17 years old must be up to date with school attendance;
  • Pregnant women need to be undergoing prenatal care;
  • Children up to 6 years old need to be undergoing nutritional monitoring;
  • The vaccination notebook must be up to date.

How to enroll in the Bolsa Família program?

Registration for the program takes place in person, so you do not need specific devices for this.

To register for Bolsa Família, the person responsible for the family must go to the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) or an authorized service point.

After filling out a form with information about family composition, income, housing, education and work, the data will be analyzed by the government to verify whether the family meets the program criteria. 

If approved, the family receives the Bolsa Família Card to withdraw the financial benefit monthly.

Remembering that after the entire registration process at CRAS, the person responsible has up to 240 days (8 months) to attend the Social Assistance Reference Center unit.

How do you know if your family has been selected to participate?

Initially, after the registration process, the body will evaluate all documents to see if candidates can participate.

So, if your family passes, Caixa Econômica Federal will send a letter to your home informing you that your family has been selected.
